Children of a Lesser God is a powerful drama exploring communication, identity, and the experiences of the Deaf community. This film challenges stereotypes and encourages empathy, making it a must-watch for students and the younger generation. The Sign Language Film Club is organised by Ugo Marsili, School Lead of Disability Awareness and Diversity & Inclusion Trainer at the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø. Ugo is an expert in Deaf awareness and audiovisual translation. As a previous BSL student, Ugo established the BSL language provision at the University in 2017, leading a dedicated team that has inspired hundreds of students and staff. The Club launched in February 2024 as part of the Languages for All programme at the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø. This special gathering aims to foster a deeper understanding of the Deaf community by exploring language, communication, and accessibility.
