We ensure that our MSc programme remains relevant to current and emerging environmental issues.
You'll be taught by internationally recognised academics who are researching global topics. You'll also attend lectures from our industrial partners and former master's students.
We place a strong emphasis on hands-on learning. As well as attending lectures, you'll learn through a mixture of laboratory and computer practicals, site visits and a field study.
Our programme will provide you with the opportunity to undertake research and develop the skills employers are looking for alongside staff who are active in their fields. For example, we design coursework assignments to reflect the outputs required by industry, and give every student the opportunity to undertake their independent research project with an external partner.
Overall, 92% of Geography and Environmental Science master's students were satisfied with the quality of their course (Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) 2022; 12 responses).
