The IELTS test is delivered on computer.
The test consists of four sections: Listening, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, Writing and Speaking. The Listening, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø and Writing sections of all IELTS tests are completed on the same day. We also hold the Speaking test on the same day (unless indicated otherwise at the point of booking).
IELTS results are designed to be simple and easy to understand. They are reported as band scores on a scale from 1 (the lowest) to 9 (the highest).
A score is given for each test section - Listening, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, Writing and Speaking. These individual scores are then averaged and rounded to produce an overall band score.

The Listening, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø and Writing sections of the test are held on the same day. No latecomers are allowed into the test room once the test has started.
Interviews for the Speaking section are either held on the same day (very occasionally on an alternative date). You will be notified of the interview time approximately 5 days before the test.

All examiners are qualified English language specialists, with substantial relevant teaching experience, working to clearly defined criteria and subject to extensive quality control procedures.
Routine analysis is conducted on each test version to ensure that the performances of test materials, test takers and examiners are in line with expected standards.

You can see your results online, 13 days (IELTS on Paper) and 1-5 days (IELTS on Computer) after the test.
