IPCC involvement

For decades, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø scientists have played a central role in Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) work. Our expertise has helped to shape major assessments by the UN’s top climate body and even contributed to a Nobel Prize win.

In 2026, the University’s centenary year, we hosted two major IPCC workshops on campus in collaboration with the UK government and the Met Office, underscoring our ongoing leadership in climate research and our commitment to collective action.
