You'll explore the process of choosing and defining a research proposal, alongside developing core academic and professional skills, and examine research philosophies and methods. A field trip to a European city will give you the opportunity to apply these methods in a controlled environment.
Field teaching is at the centre of your Geography studies. You’ll develop a range of skills spanning field techniques, observation, data analysis and presentation, and teamwork. This ranges from GIS mapping on the University campus, to investigating the causes and consequences of flooding on local river catchments as well as having the opportunity to explore further afield.
