Join us for our second season of exciting free online talks, where you’ll get the chance to dive deep into the world of art with our expert curators, conservators and scholars. Discover the stories behind the masterpieces, learn about the creative process, and ask all your burning questions.
This semester we will be joined by:
📅 Thursday 2 October - Dr Henrietta Hammant (museum anthropologist and curator, University of Nottingham) on our portrait of the explorer and mountaineer, Frederick Spencer Chapman (1907-1971).
📅 Thursday 6 November - Martin Andrews (printing historian and retired lecturer in the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø) on the University's collection of prints by painter and printmaker, Allen W. Seaby (1867-1963).
📅 Thursday 4 December - Professor Amy Smith (classical archaeologist and curator of the Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø) on the University's collection of stone sculptures by Eric Stanford (1932-2020).
All talks take place from 7.30pm on Zoom.
