Emailed Requests

Room booking by email 

If your booking is not possible to complete online, please contact rooms@reading.ac.uk, attaching a completed Room Booking Form (found on the right of this page) or with the following information:

  • Your School/Department
  • Title or brief description of event
  • The maximum number of participants who will be present at any one time
  • Date of event
  • Start and end time of event

Please send the form as an attachment and not as a shared file.

The types of bookings that will need to be requested via email are:

  • Bookings longer than 4 hours
  • Bookings before 09:00
  • Bookings after 18:00
  • Bookings at weekends
  • Bookings of certain spaces such as foyers

You will receive an email either confirming your booking, or informing you that a room is not available. You do not have a booking until you receive confirmation.

Please note that if your booking is FAST and may reasonably have been completed online, you may be directed to do so.
