ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Professor Ed Hawkins created the climate stripes, which are now widely recognised globally as a symbol for climate change and climate action.

ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø is a world leader in climate science. We are proud to be pioneering new ways of sharing knowledge and finding solutions to climate change.
Global challenges require global solutions, and the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø has a long and distinguished history of welcoming international students to our specialist postgraduate programmes.
Our courses attract some of the brightest students from across the continents. They come to the university because of its outstanding reputation and return home equipped with new skills and knowledge, ready to implement change and make an impact.
The Climate Stripes Scholarship supports international students and provides £5,000 to contribute towards living expenses. Donor gifts are match-funded by the University, so scholars also receive a £5,000 tuition fee reduction, making this scholarship package worth a total of £10,000.
The scholarship is available to exceptional scholars studying meteorology at the university, including the new MSc Climate Change and Artificial Intelligence programme, which is the only postgraduate course of its kind in the UK.
