Building a strong knowledge of sociological theories, you can also explore topics in other subjects like criminology, politics, education, psychology and philosophy to complement your learning and develop your critical thinking.

Real-world experience and careers
At ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, you can complete an integrated professional placement between your second and third years. If you choose to study Sociology and Criminology, you can also apply for a variety of voluntary placements with Thames Valley Police, Death Penalty Clinic and Elizabeth Fry Charity.
Throughout your degree, you will build strong research, analytical and communication skills. You will develop subject-specific knowledge and prepare for a variety of careers such as social work, journalism, media, government, youth work, NGOs, and more.
