Applying for university through Clearing can seem complicated. To help you, we’ve split our Clearing application guidance into sections, so you can see what to expect as you move through the process.
Most UK applicants get their results on 13 August 2026 and can apply through Clearing from this date.
If you’re an international applicant, we may also need evidence of satisfactory English language proficiency, such as an IELTS (Academic) test. You need to have this evidence to apply via Clearing. Please view our list of acceptable English language tests.
